The Centre for Criminology (KrimZ), based in Wiesbaden, is the research and documentation institute of the Federal Republic of Germany and all its federal states. Since 1986, the KrimZ has been working on criminological issues, conducting empirical research projects, documenting research results and organizing conferences. Above that, the KrimZ offers a freely accessible specialist database KrimLit and a publication server KrimPub. 

Results of the KrimZ research projects and conference transcripts have been published in the "Kriminologie und Praxis (KuP)” book series or have been made available as electronic publications (s. publications).

The KrimZ library holds a considerable collection of books and journals on criminological and forensic topics.
