Since 1986, KrimZ has been the central research and documentation institution of the federal and state governments for criminological research, based in Wiesbaden. We collect annual data on the criminal justice system and correctional facilities, conduct practice-oriented research, and regularly organize conferences on current topics.
Our research findings are primarily published in our two open-access series, KuP-Online and BM-Online. We also maintain an extensive specialized library that is open to the public. Its holdings can be searched in our online database, KrimLit. On our repository, KrimPub, we make exclusively open-access scholarly literature available.
