The KrimZ provides several free-of-charge research devices: The database KrimLit, the publication server KrimPub and the database ODABS.

The database KrimLit contains all the books of the KrimZ library and above that, abstracts of criminological significant essays. For that, the documentation team screens about 30 German journals, selects the publications with a criminological focus and prepares them for the database KrimLit (writing high-quality abstracts, indexing by keyword).

The publication server KrimPub is a open access server, which comprises digital publications and essays of the research associates of the KrimZ and cooperation partners (e.g. Federal Ministry of Justice).

ODABS is a database for persons, who have been confronted with sexual and/or violent crime. It lists contact details and services  of numerous nationwide institutions which offer support for victims of crimes. ODABS is anonymous, open access and free-of-charge and enables a quick overview of the numerous institutions which are involved with consulting service. ODABS wants to support persons who have been confronted with crimes to handle their situation. It is updated regularly.
